I'm a 22 year old working at suse on cockpit. In my free time I've contributed to everything from archlinux to fedora. In my role I've had to learn packaging using the openbuildsystem. I'm a big believer in FOSS first solutions. I like chocolate :3
Accepted Talks:
Open Build Service: The solution to packaging you didn't know you wanted
Open Build Service(OBS) is a generic build service to build and distribute package for a wide range of Linux distributions and architectures. deb, rpm, pkg.tar.zst, flatpaks and oci containers can all be built using obs and distributed via repos you can add just like a PPA or COPR repo. In this talk you’ll see how to use obs and build a simple deb package for debian via both standard packaging and the rpm spec file format via debbuild.
